How To Increase The Size Of Your Penis: Do You Know Which Three Methods To Avoid?

Which man doesn’t want to be bigger? Archaeologists and anthropologists have discovered evidence that even primitive African tribesmen have tried to increase the size of their penis as long as 2000 years ago. These ancient African men hung weights from their penis in order to lengthen their members. Desperate men still try this method of male enhancement today – risking nerve damage, chronic pain, scarring, and impotence. Hanging weights from your penis is not the only dangerous method of increasing the size of your penis. There are, in general, three classes of male enhancement methods which can leave you worse off than before.

1. Weights, Pumps and Other Devices

Weights are not the only dangerous method used to grow longer than the average size of male erection. Men have also used devices to extend and stretch their penis, as well as clamps and vacuum pumps. All these methods have the same problem:

  • Burst blood vessels in the penis
  • Torn muscles and ligaments causing permanent scarring to the penis
  • Neural damage – permanently impairing sensation

2. Herbs and Drugs

Herbs are another time-honored method of increasing male performance. Some of the oldest records come from China in the 14-th century, when Chinese emperors turned to their alchemists and court physicians to increase both their lifespan and their libido. While the later herbal formulae (from the 17-th century) clearly allowed the Emperors to live longer, it is not clear if they were successful in satisfying all their concubines.

Today, dozens of private labs manufacture drugs which claim to increase the average size of male erections. Unfortunately, unlike Viagra, these drugs are not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. In other words, they have not been tested for safety or effectiveness. There have been reports of various health problems – including enlarged prostate, prostate cancer, and heart problems.

3. Surgery

Nowadays, cosmetic surgery is not limited to making old people look younger or giving flat-chested women bigger breasts. There is a type of cosmetic surgery called phalloplasty – originally to create fake penises for transexuals and men who lost their penis through accidents and illness.

To increase the size of your penis, plastic surgeons usually use one of these two methods:

  • Girth enlargement – they insert some extra material into your penis to make your penis thicker. While this method is reasonably successful, two major problems have been reported – loss of sensation and inability to perform penetrative intercourse
  • Penis lengthening – some of the ligaments attaching your penis to your pubic bone are cut. This allows the 1/3 of your penis which is normally inside the body to hang out. Unfortunately, according to St. Peter’s Andrology Center in London, 70% of patients later said they were not happy with results. Many men who had their penis lengthened reported that they lost the ability to have erections.

Generally speaking, methods of male enhancement which which rely on external agencies (like surgery, drugs and devices) have shown themselves to be risky. Rather than relying on someone or something outside of you, it is safer to learn how to increase the size of your penis through exercise.
